Ahly South African coach Pitso Mosimane voiced his full support for the newly named Egyptian national team manager Carlos Queiroz in a tweet on Thursday.

“El-Professor Carlos Queiroz, your CV speaks for itself. You have my full support. Always a pleasure to be with you. Welcome to Egypt,” said Mosimane on his official Twitter account.

On Wednesday, the 68-year-old Portuguese tactician was named the Pharaohs’ coach less than two days after the Egyptian Football Association sacked Egyptian coach Hossam El-Badry.

Queiroz and Mosimane have both previously coached the South African national team.

The new national team’s coach will start his mission with a crucial double header against Libya in the World Cup qualifiers in October.
