Egyptian president greets Saudi king on Saudi National Day

Saudi National Day is celebrated on September 23 yearly to mark the renaming of the Kingdom of Nejd and Hejaz to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932 following a royal decree from King Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi sent on Thursday a cable of greetings to Saudi King Salman bin Abdel Aziz Al Saud on the occasion of the Saudi National Day.

Saudi National Day is celebrated on September 23 yearly to mark the renaming of the Kingdom of Nejd and Hejaz to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932 following a royal decree from King Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud.

Al-Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed El-Tayyeb also greeted King of Saudi Arabia and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the 91st anniversary of the kingdom's National Day.

El-Tayyeb extended in a statement his greetings to the Saudi government and people on the occasion.

He commended the kingdom's crucial role in supporting issues of the Arab and Muslim nations, in addition to the pivotal role it is playing in serving Islam and Muslims worldwide.

Al-Azhar Grand Imam moreover appreciated the deeply-rooted and profound relations binding Al-Azhar and Saudi Arabia, according to the statement.
