A boat was found on Sunday morning on the coast, with 58 illegal immigrants on board, all of Moroccan nationality, who were in danger, said the delegate of sea fishing in Tan-Tan, Youssef Fonoun.

He said the boat was 45 miles west of the port of Tan-Tan, adding that these people were evacuated to the port unharmed.

According to this source, this operation was carried out with the help of the coastal fishing boat “Ouled Zeid” and in coordination with the Royal Navy, the Royal Gendarmerie and the local authorities.

The immigrants were accommodated at the temporary accommodation center “Tegiria” under the National Mutual Aid in Tan-Tan.
