Source at interior ministry's election monitoring room says there were no reported violations at polling stations overnight in Egypt's presidential poll

There were no official complaints regarding the safety of ballot boxes stored at polling stations overnight in Egypt's presidential election, according to a security source at the interior ministry's election monitoring room.

Ballot boxes and polling stations were sealed after voting ended Wednesday and were re-opened Thursday.

The monitoring room would announce any violations in order to counter potential exaggerations by the media, the source added.
