“It is the first time ever for me to win a title. It means a lot, since it was a dream that I worked for so hard,” El-Gaiar told Ahram Online.
“I always looked up to beauty queens as role models. I have always been fascinated with beauty, education, culture, and knowledge,” she added.
“So, it was a dream to become one of them one day, and now here I am.”
El-Gaiar was crowned Miss Egypt 2021 after a close competition with 29 other stunning finalists that lasted for three months.
She dressed in a sparkling green evening gown, went down the catwalk as Miss Egypt for the first time, before rushing back for a group hug with the other competitors.
The prestigious annual national pageant aims to crown a woman based on her beauty and intellect. The contestants are chosen after a series of interviews, activities, training sessions, and events.
The 22-year-old beauty queen was born in Mansoura City. Her study, however, is far from the field of beauty, as she is a dentistry student in her senior year.
“I wanted to be in the medical field from a young age,” she commented.
El-Gaiar — who plays kickboxing, hip-hop dancing, and other sports — revealed some of the secrets of her visible charm.
“Drinking enough water on daily basis and having a skincare routine is the key.”
The Egyptian beauty queen — whose role model is India’s Miss World and actress Priyanka Chopra — believes true beauty comes from within.
“Being kind and well cultured is beauty,” she commented.
Her interest in volunteering has taken her to orphanages, non-profit hospitals, and charities, all of which she describes as part of her normal life.
“I have participated in non-profit social work with my friends in school since I was a young girl. Now I make the best of my potential as Miss Egypt.”
