Thurs 7, 8pm: The Embassy of Chile in Egypt and D-CAF Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival present the Chilean group La Licuadora which will perform their famous artwork “Ruido”. Sound, dance, and cinema combine in “Ruido”, a trans-disciplinary piece conceived at the intersection of live performance and audiovisual technology. “Ruido” means “noise” in Spanish, and through its avant-garde blend of high-tech and raw human sensitivity, the piece’s self-proclaimed aim is to explore noise as the organic edge of technology. The performance is a highly immersive sensory journey, meant to be experienced in real-time as it unfolds.
