Egypt midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou has expressed his pleasure in booking a place for his current team IIttihad Jeddah in the quarterfinals of the Asian Champions League by beating Iranian side Piroozi 3-0 on Wednesday.
"We will do our best to draw IIttihad Jeddah's history and return the team to its international ranking," Abd-Rabou was quoted as saying in Saudi newspaper Al-Jazera.
"I am happy to extend my loan deal with IIttihad and my base team Ismaily didn't mind," he added.
Abd-Rabou joined Ittihad Jeddah in January on a six-month loan deal and has produced a string of strong performances with the Saudi side.
"Ittihad's fans always support me as I feel I am playing inside my country, Ismailia," he said.
According to the Saudi newspaper, Ittihad Jeddah have tabled a 1.5 million Euro offer with Ismaily — including the player's share — to sign the international midfielder for a season-long loan, but Ismaily have asked for two million Euros.
