The Whites managed to clinch last season’s league title after a close race against rivals Ahly, claiming the title with a mere four-point-difference between them and the Red Devils.

“Zamalek are the champions of the league and will work on defending the title in the new season. The team will prepare well for the domestic competition,” Carteron told Zamalek official website.

The league’s draw put the Whites in front of Enppi in their opening match, but the dates have not been set as of yet, with the Egyptian Football Association only announcing that 25 October will mark the start of the league.
