Africa's confirmed Covid-19 cases exceeded 8 million: Africa CDC

The Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) announced that the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Africa hit 8,420,043 ones, while the death toll from the disease stood at 215,265.

As many as 7,494,079 people have recovered in the continent, Africa CDC added in a statement Saturday.


Africa CDC is a public health agency of the African Union to support the public health initiatives of member states and strengthen the capacity of their health institutions to deal with disease threats.
