Egypt and Zamalek midfielder Ahmed Hassan is doubtful for Friday's World Cup qualifier with Mozambique after picking up muscular injury in the Pharaohs' training session Tuesday.
According to Ahram Sport, the veteran will undergo a scan Wednesday to determine the injury's extent.
Egypt is currently holding a training camp in Alexandria amid preparations for Friday's match at the Borg Al-Arab Stadium.
England-born defender Adam El-Abd will miss the Mozambique clash as he is yet to obtain an Egyptian passport.
The seven-time African Cup of Nations (CAN) champions, under the guidance of American coach Bob Bradley, have been paired with Guinea, Zimbabwe and Mozambique in Group G in the World Cup qualifiers.
They are also scheduled to play the Central African Republic in CAN 2013 qualifiers later in June.
