“It’s a blessing to be recognised and immortalised in this way," Salah said as soon as he saw the wax figure.
"I couldn’t believe it when I stood alongside ‘me’, it’s like looking at my own reflection in a mirror! I can’t wait to see what the fans think,” the Egyptian star added.
Fans will be able to see the waxwork starting alongside A-list favourites David Beckham, Dame Helen Mirren, and Brad Pitt, according to the museum's official website.
In a post on Madame Tussauds London social media, Salah was seen standing alongside his replica.
In January 2020, Salah was chosen to join an illustrious list of athletes who had their own wax figures, such as Lionel Messi, David Beckham, Serena Williams, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Mesut Ozil.
Madame Tussauds is a major tourist attraction in London, displaying the waxworks of famous and historical figures, as well as popular film and television characters played by famous actors.
The 29-year-old Egyptian star has lit up English football since he arrived at Liverpool in 2017, breaking a number of Liverpool records.
He has been nominated to the prestigious Ballon d'Or award this season thanks to his superb performance with the Reds.
