Sisi ratifies elimination of double taxation treaty with Cyprus

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi ratified the treaty to eliminate double taxation with Cyprus, which was signed in October 2018, according to the official gazette.

The treaty eliminates double taxation on income taxes and prevention of tax evasion between Egypt and Cyprus.

The Egyptian parliament approved the treaty in July 2020.

Cyprus already entered over 45 double taxation treaties with various countries.

Egypt also has several double taxation treaties with other countries.
