Jordanian rock band Akher Zapheer to perform in Zamalek

Jordanian rock quartet ‘Akher Zapheer’ will be holding a concert at Zamalek Theatre on Thursday 28 October, where they will perform some of their best-known hits.

The band will be performing a selection of their two albums: ‘Converse Culture’ (2012) and ‘Emm Al-Mousiqa’ (2020), as well as glimpses from their upcoming album ‘Tho’ban’.

Akher Zapheer (‘Last Exhale’) was founded by vocalist and guitarist Basem Sayej in Amman, Jordan back in 2007. The band saw multiple changes in the line-up as well as a three-year hiatus between 2013 and 2016.

The current formation includes Rami Al-Qasem on bass guitar, Amr Abu Khlif as the lead guitarist, and Masis Mardirossian on the drums and piano.

Akher Zapheer will also play a gig at the Cairo Jazz Club on Saturday 30 October, merging with Ziad Khaled.
