The ministry said in a statement Monday that it is following up with great concern reports on the Israeli government's plans to expand the settlement area, which it noted would harm the geographical contiguity of Palestinian territories.
It would also gradually eliminate the two-state solution and the future of a Palestinian State, it added.
The Foreign Ministry affirmed the illegality and illegitimacy of settlements, calling for an end to any unilateral actions that would undermine the future of establishing a Palestinian State and achieving the peace process.
