Egypt reports 871 new coronavirus cases, 42 deaths on Tuesday
Egypt reported 871 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing the total infection tally officially to 326,379 since the outbreak began in February 2020, said Health Ministry in its daily coronavirus update statement.

The ministry also reported 42 new Covid-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours nationwide, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 18,375
The statement added that 875 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 275,637
Earlier Tuesday, the president's adviser for health affairs Dr Awad Tag El-Din said Egypt has vaccinated between 23-24 million citizens so far nationwide.
Egypt targets to vaccinate 40 million citizens by the end of the year, allocating around 1,100 vaccination centres nationwide.
