In a statement, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed condolences to the Iraqi government and people over the victims of the attack.

Egypt is siding with Iraq against any threat to its security and stability, added the statement.

At least 13 people were killed and 13 others were injured in the attack.
