Cairo Opera's Arab Music Ensemble to perform in Riyadh Season 2021

Cairo Opera’s ‘Arab Music Ensemble’ will be performing between 29 and 30 October during Riyadh Season 2021, which kicked off on 20 October in Saudi Arabia and will till March 2022.


The months-long festival will play host to many artists from the Middle East that will be performing in different venues around the Saudi capital.

According to the festival’s management, countless events have been planned across Riyadh over the next five months that will feature artistic, culinary, and athletic activities, all running under the slogan #Imagine_More.

Egyptian Minister of Culture Ines Abdel-Dayem revealed that the ensemble will be among the first artists to represent the country in the Kingdom’s annual event.

She revealed that “the two concerts are part of a larger plan that aims to strengthen the cultural and artistic cooperation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.” 

‘Egyptian Accent’ will also be present at the event, as well as Mohamed Ramadan, who will performing on 1 November.

This will be followed with a series of concerts featuring songs by the legendary Um Kalthoum and Abdel-Wahab later in the month, the details of which are yet to be revealed.
