Ghana are keen to build on their 7-0 victory over Lesotho with a victory against Zambia in their second 2014 World Cup qualifier.
“We are very happy with our performance against Lesotho and believe this result will inspire confidence ahead of the Zambia clash,” Kwadwo Asamoah told journalists in Ghana.
“The Lesotho game is forgotten. The next game is what we’re concentrating on now. We’re going there with a positive mentality," he added.
Asamoah, a Manchester United target, said, “The Zambians will be a difficult nut to crack but we are the Black Stars of Africa and therefore will prove our worth.”
The Zambians lost away to Sudan in the first qualifying match and this will make it difficult for them against the Black Stars in front of their home fans in Ndola.
Ghana's Derek Boateng also expressed optimism at his team's chances against the Chipolopolo: “Of course we are ready and the game we played against Lesotho shows how ready and prepared we are for Zambia.
“We always say first things first and now that we are finished with Lesotho we pray that God helps us and gives us the strength to fight this battle.
“We respect every country because good football is being played everywhere.
“Our job is to work hard and listen to the coach and I am confident that the outcome will be positive.”
