Market Update: Egypt stocks close Monday with minor losses

Exchange takes another dip as turnover falls to its lowest level in months

Egyptian stocks have seen another day of mild losses, the benchmark EXG30 down 0.35 per cent to 4,609.5 points by the end of Monday's session.

The broader EGX70 slipped 0.16 per cent.
 
Market turnover was a very low LE155.4 million ($24.75m), with investment bank EFG-Hermes seeing just under a quarter of total trade.
 
The main index dropped 1.3 per cent on Sunday after popular protests kicked off following a controversial verdict in the trial of Hosni Mubarak and senior figures from his regime.
