According to the state department, the dialogue will discuss international and regional issues, human rights, and bilateral cooperation on economic, judicial, security, education, and cultural issues.
“We are committed to strengthening the forty-year US-Egypt partnership by enhancing security cooperation, advancing human rights, and growing our significant economic relations and cultural ties.” The US department of state said in its statement adding that Egypt was a vital partner for the US.
The US delegation will include senior officials from USAID and the US Department of Defence.
The US-Egypt Strategic Dialogue was first launched in the mid-1990s, lasting until 2009 when it was halted, before resuming in 2015
