Staged by the students of the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University, Rasd El-Khan is written by Muhammad Ali Ibrahim and deals with the symbolism in the eternal conflict between humans.

Numerous other winners have been also announced, including the best actress award won by Sofia Morobito for her role in The Last Flowers (Italy), and best actor award for Mieszko for his role in Tram 23:11 (Poland/USA/UK).

The best scenography prize went to the play Pirosmani (Georgia) while Quarter Time (Tunisia) won best script.

The sixth edition of Sharm El Sheikh International Theatre Festival for Youth (SITFY) was held between 6 and 11 November.

Held annually, the SITFY is the first of its kind to be organised in Sinai. It was launched with the aim of providing opportunities to young theatre practitioners while decentralising the artistic scene and reviving tourism in South Sinai.

The SITFY's founder and president is Mazen El-Gharabawy, and the artistic director is Ingy El-Bastawi.
