Maaloul, 31, and Hassan, 28, were injured during Monday’s 3-2 league victory over Ghazl El-Mahalla.
“Scans revealed that Maaloul is suffering from a muscular strain that will sideline him from four to five days, while Hassan needs a one-week rehabilitation program as he suffers from a knock in his knee,” Ahly’s doctor Ahmed Abu-Abla was quoted as saying by the club’s official website.
Maaloul, who scored Ahly’s winning goal eight minutes into injury time, suffered a muscular injury in the last minutes of the game.
Meanwhile, the second-half substitute Hassan, who played five years for Smouha before joining Ahly this season, picked up a knee injury that obliged him to leave the pitch just six minutes after his entry.
“We secured a precious win against El-Mahalla. It was very important for us to keep our good start and also to remain on the league’s summit,” Ahly's assistant coach Samy Komsan told ON Sport radio channel on Tuesday.
“Our definite target this season is to secure the league title,” he added.
Ahly are looking to regain the league title they lost last season to arch-rivals Zamalek,.
They have extended their perfect start of the season to claim 15 points after five games.
