Thurs 2, 8pm: The AUC’s Music Programme presents a concert in memory of David Hales, an extraordinary pianist, accompanist, coach, and teacher. It will feature the Cairo Festival Orchestra and 14 distinguished soloists. They all worked with Hales over the past 40 years, presenting the music of many composers, from Bach, Handel, and Mozart to Tchaikovsky, Puccini, and Piazzolla (All concerts are free of charge and are open to the public. Due to Covid-19, seats are limited, and people will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis).

Wed 8, 8pm (Tickets are free but registration is required via [email protected]): The Austrian Cultural Forum presents the Austrian classical music ensemble Trio Alba. The ensemble explodes passion, irresistible playfulness and technical perfection. The concert is a marvelous journey through the world of classical music with a brief, yet captivating detour to Austrian contemporary music. Musicians are Philipp Comploi (Cello) - Chengcheng Zhao (Piano) -Livia Sellin (Violin). The repertoire includes Ludwig van Beethoven’s Ghost (Geistertrio), Piano Trio in D major, op. 70 No.1, Allegro vivace e con brio, Largo assai ed espressivo, Presto, Friedrich Cerha’s Night Piece (Nachtstück) from Piano Trio (2005), and Bedřich Smetana’s Piano Trio in G minor, op. 15, Moderato assai, Allegro, ma non agitato - Alternativo I. Andante - Alternativo II. Maestoso, Finale – Presto.

El-Farouk launches a new series of ‘INVITE’ concerts, where in each concert he invites a different artist from Cairo’s diverse music scene to perform with him. In the first concert of the ‘INVITE’ series he invites the lovely voice Bichara to perform together a selection of carefully-selected jazz and pop tunes.

Takht El Sellem is an Egyptian band founded in 2020 with unique fusion music style. They acquire flexibility when it comes to genres and languages from covers of International and Arabic tracks to originals. Band members: Ahmed El-Shaer (Lead Vocal/ Guitarist),
Ahmed Salah Lalla (Solo Guitar/ Oud), Bahareya (Percussion), and Moe (Bass Guitar).
