Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohamed
Galatasary have informed Zamalek that they have activated the buyout clause to make his move permanent, Zamalek’s football director Amir Mortada Mansour announced on Sunday.
The 24-year-old attacker joined Galatasary from Egyptian side Zamalek last January for a one-and-a-half-season loan deal with an option to make it permanent after paying $4 million.
Mohamed made an impressive start with Galatasaray, scoring 14 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions.
The international striker was close to joining French side Bordeaux this summer, but he failed to complete his move due to differences between Galatasaray and Zamalek.
Earlier this month, Galatasary coach Fatih Terim announced that he had held talks with the club’s board to discuss the future of Egyptian striker with the Turkish team.
