An employee at Egyptian subsidiary outsourcing TelePerformance jumped to his death from the company's headquarters at the Fifth Settlement district in New Cairo last Tuesday, causing public uproar on social media, as his colleagues argued that stressful conditions at the workplace prompted him to do so.

In an official statement on Tuesday, the prosecution said it has not yet indentified the motives that pushed the employee to kill himself, excluding any criminal suspicious behind the incident after it had viewed and autopsied the corpse.

The statement also denied that the company's CCTVs were damaged by fire, confirming the prosecution has obtained clips recorded by the CCTVs showing the employee during committing the suicide.

The prosecution investigations, the statement indicated, have not confirmed whether the suicide was committed due to work stress and poor management.

Collogues of the deceased employee took to social media over the past few days saying that the victim was feeling stressed due to the daily lengthy shifts.

Six days following the incident, a statement by the company said on Monday "our colleague was part of the TP family for two years and was a cherished member of our team, he will always be remembered."

"This sad news of our esteemed colleague came as a shock to all of us. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and teammates," the statement added.

After the employee jumped from the headquarters, the company said, medical emergency services were immediately called, and the paramedics transferred him to a hospital, but was passed away.

"We are cooperating fully with local authorities and also conducting an internal investigation to understand the circumstances that led to this tragedy," the statement added.
