President Hosni Mubarak received on Saturday French Foreign Minister Michele Alliot-Marie at the presidential headquarters.
The visit came as part of Alliot-Marie's Middle East tour to revive the Middle East peace process. The meeting aimed at finding ways to push forward the peace process taking into consideration the situation in Lebanon, with the dissolution of Prime Minister Saad A-Hariri's government, and the situation in Iraq and Sudan.
The visit also tackled ways of expanding bilateral cooperation between Egypt and France in various fields.
The meeting was attended by Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul-Gheit, Patrice Paoli, French Foreign Ministry's director of African and Middle East affairs and Jean-Felix Baganon, France's ambassador in Cairo.
