Egypt's coronavirus death toll exceeds 22,000 on Tuesday

Egypt’s coronavirus death toll has exceeded 22,000, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Health and Population on Tuesday.

The ministry reported 19 new deaths in the past 24 hours nationwide, bringing the total fatalities nationwide to 22,014 since the outbreak began in February 2020. 

The statement reported 932 new coronavirus infections, bringing the total infection toll up to 394,740, adding that 906 patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 328,957.
