Egyptian stocks have restarted trade and are continuing their gains, up 6.81 per cent at 4,450 points just before 1pm Monday.
The exchange suspended trading for half an hour after the benchmark index surged 6.7 percent, in line with stock market rules.
The most heavily traded stocks include Orascom Telecom Media and Technology, up 5.2 per cent, and Orascom Construction Industries, which gained 7.9 per cent.
