"Mo definitely expects this club to be ambitious. We have been and we are. Does the signing of Luis Diaz help? I do not think it is about that,” Klopp told a press conference on Friday.
“It is Mo's decision. The club did what it can do. It is all fine,' he added.
Salah, who has 18 months left on his current five-year 52-million-euro deal with Liverpool, has been in talks with the club about an extension but has not yet received what he deems as an acceptable offer.
Salah said in a recent interview with GQ magazine that he is not asking for “crazy stuff” and wants to be appreciated for all he has done for the club.
"Nothing further has happened, Mo has not signed or rejected or whatever, we just have to wait,” Klopp said.
“It is all completely fine. There is no rush," the German tactician stressed.
The 29-year-old Egyptian international netted 152 goals in 237 games and provided 57 assists since he joined Liverpool from AS Roma in the summer of 2017.
He has already claimed eight trophies with the Reds including the UEFA Champions League title in the 2018/19 season as well as the 2020 English Premier League title, which alluded the team since 1981.
Salah has become the second fastest Liverpool player to break the 150-goal mark, just behind Roger Hunt who achieved that feat in 226 games.
