According to the embassy, a direct flight will be operated between the Azeri capital and the South Sinai city on a weekly basis.
The Egyptian foreign ministry said in a statement on Sunday that the resumption of direct flights is an important step to boost tourism from Azerbaijan to the Red Sea resort city.
The statement added that the move reinforced the Egyptian-Azeri bilateral relations which witnessed an improvement in the past months including mutual visits and meetings between the two countries’ officials. Notably, Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat visited Baku in late February.
