President of Egypt's Lawyers' Syndicate Ragai Attia passes away at 84
Ragai Attia, the President of Egypt's Lawyers' Syndicate, who was also the head of the Arab Lawyers Union, passed away on Saturday at the age of 84 while attending a session in court.

According to a statement on Saturday, Attia died after suffering a heart attack during a session in a trial before the North Giza Criminal Court.
Attia won the presidency of the Lawyers' Syndicate in March 2020, succeeding Sameh Ashour.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law in 1959, arguing numerous important cases over six decades.
Attia left behind scores of publications and books in legal, religious and literary fields.
