The Egypt FA decided on Thursday to dock its pay to Egyptian forward Mohamed Zidan, who left Pharaohs' preparation camp without permission from Coach Bob Bradley.
''Zidan will not receive the bonus of Egypt's recent wins,'' read a statement on the EFA official website.
“Coach Bradley will have all authority to call up the player again or exclude him finally from the Pharaohs’ squad.”
The 30-year-old forward left the team’s training camp ahead of a crucial Nations Cup qualifier against Central Africa to discuss a deal with an unnamed Chinese club and it was rumoured that the Pharaohs' coach had no intention of recalling him. Seven-time African champions Egypt will have to overturn a 3-2 first-leg deficit when they face Central Africa if they are to avoid missing out on the Nations Cup for the second time in a row.
