Pyramids to face TP Mazembe, Masry to meet RS Berkane in CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinals
The draw of the African Confederation Cup held on Tuesday resulted in tough matches for the Egyptian sides, as Pyramids FC will be facing Congo’s TP Mazembe, while Masry will be playing against Morocco’s RS Berkane.
The first game of the quarterfinals will be between Tanzania’s Simba and South Africa’s Orlando Pirates, while the second game will be a Libyan derby between Al-Ittihad Tripoli against Al-Ahli Tripoli.
Both Egyptian teams may face each other in the semi-final if they win their quarterfinal clashes, as the winner of the first game will face the winner of the second game, and the winners of the third and the fourth games will face each other.
Masry and Pyramids FC have qualified second from their groups in the round of 16 of the African Confederation Cup.
