The show’s production company Cedars Art Production (Sabbah Brothers), which is based in Egypt and Lebanon, said on Saturday that the company’s CEO Sadek Sabbah is following up with security services on the situation of the kidnapped employee.
The company did not disclose further details, but local reports have said the accountant was forced into an SUV on the street.
The company’s statement also dismissed rumours that actor Ahmed El-Saadany was the one who was kidnapped.
The 15-episode series by director Kamla Abu Zekri is currently airing on MBC and available for streaming on Shahid VIP. Written by Mohamed Hesham Ebia, the show stars Elham Shahin and Menna Shalaby.
