Ahly will host Algeria’s ES Setif in the first leg of the Champions League semis on Saturday at El-Salam Stadium in Cairo, before playing the second leg one week later in Algeria.
“We are well prepared in Setif,” coach Novic told Algerian TV channel Al-Nahar on Wednesday.
“We conducted many technical analyses to choose our strategy in the two games.”
The Algerian side reached the competition’s semis at the expense of Tunisian giants Esperance de Tunis after claiming a surprising 1-0 win in Tunisia following a goalless draw at home.
The Red Devils, who secured a last four berth after defeating Moroccan side Raja 3-2 on aggregate in the quarter-finals, are bidding for their 11th Champions League title and the third in a row.
