Every Sunday, 7pm: The Nile Troupe for Folk Instruments, conducted by Abdel-Rahman Al-Shafaai, performs dances and songs from Upper Egypt on mizmar, tabla and other traditional musical instruments.
Every Friday, 7pm: “Al-Aragouz wa Khayal Al-Zel” (The Shadow Puppet), a free public performance by clowns in Al-Muaaz Street, presented by Wamda and directed by Nabil Bahgat.

Fri 13, 8pm: The Abdel-Halim Noweira Arab Music ensemble, conducted by maestro Ahmed Ammer, in a repertoire of classical Arab songs.

Sat 14, 8pm: The Cairo Symphony Orchestra, conducted by maestro Ahmed El-Saedi, performs a selection of the greatest international symphonies by the likes of Mozart featuring world-renowned pianist Ramzi Yassa, accompanied by Swiss clarinet player Fabian Hügli.

Sun 15, 8pm: On the occasion of the ‘European Month of May’ series of events, the Austrian Cultural Forum organises the Austrian Duo Aliada’s upcoming concert tour in Egypt. Passionate, curious and utterly virtuosic - this is the Austrian Duo Aliada which sets out to explore the musical landscapes of Eastern Europe and the Western hemisphere. The duo consists of Polish saxophonist Michał Knot and Serbian accordionist Bogdan Laketic. Years ago, Knot and Laketic migrated westwards to Vienna, a city that has embodied the fusion of East and West for hundreds of years. The musicians’ curiosity is mirrored in their broad repertoire, combining in particular classical music with Balkan elements. The programme includes Johannes Brahms’s Sixteen Waltzes Op.39 (Selection), Béla Bartók’s Romanian folk dances, and George Gershwin’s Three preludes (1926).

Wed 18, 8pm: The opera groups of music (the cello group) concert.

Thurs 19, 9pm: “Life is a Joke” stand-up comedy show features a lineup of the best comedians: Tarek Salem, Hassan Hossam, Mahmoud Khashaba, Tawfik El-Menshawy, Muaz, and Esraa El-Zarea.

Thurs 19, 8-10pm: Isis String Orchestra, Isis Oud Ensemble and Awtar Quartet, conducted by Khaled Saleh present a fusion of western classical music with eastern Arabic tunes and instruments. The concert is held in loving memory of Mona Latif-Ghattas (1946 - 2021).
