In a statement on Thursday, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicted a week of hot weather in Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, moderate weather on the North Coast, and extremely hot weather in Upper Egypt.
On Friday, morning fog is expected from 4am to 8am over roads and highways leading to and from Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, and the Suez Canal cities, with a 30 percent chance of light intermittent rainfall anticipated along the northwest coast and the northern part of Lower Egypt.
The EMA also predicted that wind will be felt from Friday through Wednesday in several areas across the country, including Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, North Coast, South Sinai, and Egypt's south.
Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt are forecast to see highs ranging from 30 to 32 degrees Celsius, and lows of 16-19 degrees until next Wednesday, according to the EMA.
The North Coast is expected to see highs of 24-26 degrees and lows of 17-15, while South Sinai will see highs of 34-40 and lows of 23-25.
Northern Upper Egypt will see highs of 32-40 and lows of 38-43, while southern Upper Egypt will see highs of 25-37 and lows of 24-28.
