Many cultural and theatre personas from Egypt and Bahrain attended the celebratory night, including Culture Minister Ines Abdel-Dayem and the Bahrain King’s Adviser for Media Affairs Nabil bin Yacoob Al-Hamer, as well as the Bahrain Ambassador in Cairo Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder.

Based on Naguib Mahfouz novel, Afrah Al-Qobba is one of the most successful productions of the ministry's Artistic Theatre House recently.

Directed and adapted to theatre by Mohamed Youssef Al-Mansour, Afrah Al-Qobba premiered in January 2020, winning big at the last edition of the National Theatre Festival.

The show cast includes stars from the Youth Theatre Company, including Ahmed Yousry, Samar Allam, Yasmin Wafy, Fatema Adel, Mena Nabil among others, with music composed by Ahmed Nabil.

The culture minister has directed the Artistic Theatre House to continue its run of Afrah Al-Qobba for another season.
