Egypt discuss with Czech companies cooperation in manufacturing medical supplies

Higher Education Minister and Acting Health Minister Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar discussed cooperation with the Czech Republic regarding the transfer of medical supply manufacturing capability to Egypt.

This came during his meeting on Thursday with officials of six Czech companies specialised in manufacturing medical supplies, according to a statement by the Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel-Ghaffar.

The acting health minister is currently on a visit to Prague, where he is taking part in the three-day Czech-Africa forum.

The forum focuses on promoting cooperation with foreign investment companies in the establishment of factories for medical equipment and supplies.

The spokesman added that the minister also met with representatives of a company specialised in equipping ambulances to explore how to develop the fleet of Egypt's Ambulance Authority.

The minister also met with representatives of Czech companies specialised in equipping intensive care units and making hospital furniture, the spokesman noted.
