Mohamed started on the bench before being introduced in the 69th minute, replacing veteran French striker Bafetimbi Gomis.
He brought Galatasaray level eight minutes later with a simple finish, side-footing home into an empty net after a low cross eluded the keeper and found him unmarked.
The 24-year-old took his tally to eight goals in 40 appearances in all competitions with Galatasaray this season, including seven in the Turkish league.
Mohamed initially joined Galatasaray from Cairo giants Zamalek a one-and-a-half-season loan deal in January 2021, with an option to make it permanent after paying $4 million.
Last December, the club informed Zamalek that they would take up the option to sign the Egyptian international on a permanent basis.
