“I’m very excited to visit Egypt and watch the UEFA Champions League final with my fans. See you soon!” Totti said on his instagram account.
Liverpool will face Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final at Stade de France on Saturday.
Real Madrid booked their place in the final after beating Man City 6-5 in the semifinal in aggregate, while Liverpool reached the final after defeating Villarreal 5-2 in aggregate.
The 45-year-old former Italian internatioonal footballer played solely for Roma in his career, winning a Serie A title, two Coppa Italia titles, and two Supercoppa Italiana titles.
He is the second-highest scorer of all time in Italian league history with 250 goals.
Totti was a teammate of Liverpool Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah in Roma squad as the Italian star made his final appearance for The Yellow and Reds in the 3-2 home win over Genoa, coming on as a substitute for Mo Salah in the 54th minute and received a standing ovation from the fans.
Salah, who joined Liverpool from AS Roma in the summer of 2017, is expected to play an effective role when the Reds face off Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final.
Liverpool lost the 2018 UEFA Champions League final to Real Madrid when the Egyptian winger left the playground early after then-skipper Sergio Ramos tackled Mo violently by grabbing his arm, leaving him with a serious shoulder injury.
“I am confident that the 2022 final will differ from the 2018 edition, as we suffered in the previous edition from some absences and Real Madrid deserved to win the game,” Salah told a television programme early on Thursday.
