Egypt sends medical aid to children’s hospital in Sudan

Egypt has sent medical aid to a Sudanese children’s hospital in the country’s Red Sea State that includes drugs and medical supplies, a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday evening.

The shipment comes within the framework of strengthening the cooperative relations between Egypt and Sudan in the field of health, the statement added. 

Consul General of Egypt in Port Sudan Sameh Farouk Shehata stressed Egypt’s keenness to consolidate relations with the Sudanese people in light of the mutual bonds and the extended relations between the two sides.

Furthermore, the acting governor of the Red Sea State expressed his thanks and appreciation for the assistance provided by Egypt, praising the fruitful cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields.

Egypt’s defence and health ministries have provided various food and medical aid shipments over the past two years to Sudan to help the country deal with a series of humanitarian crises.
