Heat wave to continue in Egypt till Friday: Meteorological authority

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) announced Saturday that some parts of Egypt will continue to witness temperatures in the upper 30s and lower 40s till Friday, as the heat wave that started last week persists.

The EMA stated that throughout the week Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, Upper Egypt, and South Sinai will see high temperatures during the day and moderate temperatures at night.

Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta are expected to see highs ranging from 35 to 37 degrees Celsius and lows of 23 degrees from Sunday till Friday, according to the EMA.

Meanwhile, the North Coast is expected to see highs of 29 to 34 degrees and lows of 22, while South Sinai will see highs of 37 to 39 and lows of 26 to 27.

Additionally, northern Upper Egypt will see highs of 38 to 41 and lows of 24 to 25, while southern Upper Egypt will see highs of 42 to 44 and lows of 26.
