President Sisi appoints 39 more women at State Council

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi issued on Tuesday a presidential decree no. 247/2022 on appointing 38 female members of the State Lawsuits Authority and Administrative Prosecution as assistant counsellors at the State Council.

El-Sisi also appointed El-Shaimaa Abdel-Fattah Mansour as a member of the Administrative Prosecution as of 9 March.

The decisions were published in the Official Gazette.

Last June, El-Sisi directed that Egyptian women can work at the State Council and the Public Prosecution for the first time in the country’s history starting 1 October.

In October, he issued a decree to appoint a total of 98 female members of the State Lawsuits Authority and the Administrative Prosecution to positions within the State Council.
