This comes in line with directives of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, the alliance said in a statement on Thursday.

The initiatives – to last until mid July – include offering financial support, meat and other foodstuffs and clothes to needy people ahead of the Eid El-Adha holidays.

The alliance said the initiatives are meant to support most needy people, stressing keenness to proceed with social protection plan until the end of 2022.

The alliance – launched in March 2022 – comprises 24 civil, service and development associations.
