Cairokee to perform two concerts in July

Egyptian popular indie rock band Cairokee are gearing up for two concerts later in July.

The first concert, titled ‘By the Sea’, will be held in Alexandria on Friday 22 July at the Golden Jewel Arena at Sidi Gaber.

A week later, the band will perform at New Cairo’s Cairo Festival City on Friday 29 July.

The band is expected to perform some of their evergreen hits like El-Sekka Shemal, Kan Lak Ma’aya, No’ta Beida, Hodna, Helma Ana, and other hits.

Booking for the two concerts is still available online and through various tickets offices.

Founded in 2003, Cairokee’s first big success came in 2011 after the release of their hit single Sowt El-Horreya (The Voice of Freedom).

They then cemented their popularity with a number of albums, including El-Sekka Shemal (An Indecent Path), Naas Wi Naas (People and People) and No’ta Beida (‘White Drop’), in addition to their latest Abna’a El-Battah El-Sawda’a (The Ugly Ducklings).
