The inauguration was attended by Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait, Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawy, Minister of Youths and Sports Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of the Public Business Sector Hisham Tawfik, and Chairperson of the National Press Authority (NPA) Abdel-Sadek El-Shorbagy.

The three-day exhibition is being held under the patronage of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and is organised by the NPA in cooperation with three state-owned press institutions — Al-Ahram, Akhbar Al-Youm, and Dar Al-Tahrir for Printing and Publishing.

The exhibition is the largest gathering of national industries in Egypt and will showcase the achievements made over the last seven years.

The event is running from 12pm to 9pm on Sunday, and thereafter from 11am to 9pm on Monday and Tuesday.

During the inauguration, Shaarawy asserted the importance of the exhibition in supporting the successes and achievements of the Egyptian national industry over the past eight years.

He also asserted the importance of uniting all state authorities to encourage national products and industry in all fields and sectors and back the private sector, especially at the present time, as the world is going through the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian War.

For his part, Sobhy praised the keenness of the national press institutions to organise the exhibition to complement its important and pioneering role in the fields of enlightenment and education.

Additionally, El-Shorbagy thanked President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi for launching a comprehensive reform programme that made Egypt capable of dealing effectively and successfully with successive global crises and facing challenges.

“Without these achievements that Egypt has witnessed recently, the idea of our exhibition would not have been born,” he added.
