Trezeguet, who spent the last six months on loan at Istanbul Basaksehi, has joined the Turkish champions Trabzonspor on a reported four-year deal for an undisclosed fee, according to a statement on Villa’s official website.
The 27-year-old made a big impact with Istanbul Basaksehir, scoring six goals and providing four assists in 13 league games.
He joined the club after regaining full fitness following an ACL injury that had sidelined him for almost nine months.
The Pharaohs winger joined Aston Villa in 2019 from Turkish side Kasimpasa; netting nine goals in 64 appearances in different competitions with the Villans.
Trezeguet made crucial strikes to send Villa to the Carabao Cup Final and to help keep the club in the Premier League in his first season.
The former Ahly player is a key member in Egypt squad in recent years; guiding the Pharaohs to reach the 2018 World Cup finals and ending as the African Cup of Nations runner-ups in 2017 and 2021.
Trezeguet, who made his international debut with the senior national team in 2014, has scored eight goals in 56 matches played so far with the Egyptian team.
He will be featuring with Trabzonspor in the UEFA Champions League next season. The Turkish side has officially booked a place in the prestigious competition after winning the Turkish league title this season.
