Soares won 2-0 in his first match with the Reds against Petrojet in the 2021 Egypt Cup on Saturday to reach the final.

However, the team wants to rebound from their stunning defeat at Smouha 3-2 last week to stay in the title race and reclaim the league title that was lost to arch-rivals Zamalek last season.

Meanwhile Gouna lost their last two league matches to Eastern Company and Masry.

The Reds, who are third on the league’s table with 44 points, will be missing key defenders Mohamed Abdel Moneim due to suspension and Yasser Ibrahim due to injury.

Also, Winger Hussein El-Shahat has been ruled out due to a knee injury.

Ahly’s squad:

Goalkeepers: Mohamed El-Shennawi, Ali Lotfi, Mostafa Shobeir

Defenders: Mahmoud Metwali, Rami Rabea, Ali Maaloul, Karim Fouad, Mohamed Hany, Ayman Ashraf

Midfielders: Hamdi Fathi, Walid Soliman, Aliou Deing, Amr Solaya, Mohamed 'Afsha' Magdi, Mohamed Mahmoud, Taher Mohamed, Ahmed 'Koka' Nabil, Mohamed Ashraf, Ziad Tarek

Strikers: Hossam Hasan, Mohamed Sherif, Salah Mohsen
