The talks come ahead of Lavrov's anticipated speech at the Arab League Council later today.
In his speech, Lavrov would review the Russian-Arab relations and the updates on the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
Russia seeks to resume the activities of the Russian-Arab Forum that came to a halt over the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
The Russian foreign minister is currently on an African tour that takes him to Egypt, Ethiopia, Uganda and Congo-Brazzaville from July 24 to 28.
